Moderation and Complaint Policy

This Moderation Policy defines how content is reviewed, moderated, and removed on the “Rivrox” service. The Service aims to maintain a safe and respectful environment in compliance with the laws of the Russian Federation, the European Union, and the Terms of Use.


1. Purpose of Moderation

Moderation ensures:

  • prevention of illegal or harmful content;
  • protection of user and copyright holder rights;
  • trust and community safety;
  • respect for free expression within the limits of the law.

2. Forms of Moderation

The Service applies:

  • Automated moderation — filters detecting spam, offensive language, NSFW content, or copyright violations;
  • Manual moderation — human review of user submissions;
  • Complaint-based moderation — action following user or rights holder reports.

3. User Complaints

Any user may report tracks, comments, or profiles that violate Service rules or applicable law. Complaints can be submitted via the “Report” button or by email to info@rivrox.com.

  • Anonymous reports are accepted but registered users are preferred;
  • Each complaint must include a description and link to the content;
  • Deliberate false reports may lead to account suspension.

4. Review Period

Complaints are reviewed within 10 business days, extendable to 20 days for complex or high-volume cases. Clearly illegal content (e.g. extremism, pornography, piracy) may be temporarily hidden pending review.

5. Moderation Outcomes

Following review, the Service may:

  • remove or hide content;
  • issue a warning;
  • temporarily or permanently suspend an account;
  • forward data to competent authorities if required by law.
Users are notified of moderation decisions unless disclosure could violate legal or safety obligations.

6. Appeals

If a user believes moderation was incorrect, they may appeal within 7 calendar days by emailing info@rivrox.com. The appeal should include:

  • user ID or track ID;
  • date of removal or suspension;
  • reason why the decision should be reconsidered;
  • any supporting evidence (e.g. authorship confirmation).
Appeals are processed within 10 business days.

7. User Behavior

Users must behave respectfully and must not:

  • engage in insults, threats, harassment, or discrimination;
  • incite hatred, violence, or political/religious extremism;
  • interfere with other users or the service;
  • use multiple accounts to evade bans.

8. Account Suspension

An account may be suspended:

  • for repeated rule violations;
  • for serious breaches such as spam, piracy, NSFW content, or fraud;
  • upon lawful requests of authorities or court orders.
Blocked users may submit an appeal. Repeated violations result in permanent deletion.

9. Cooperation with Authorities

The Service cooperates with competent authorities in the Russian Federation and the EU upon legal request, as well as with rights-management and moderation organizations (e.g., IFPI, RAO, GEMA).

10. Policy Updates

This Policy may be updated without prior notice. The latest version is available at /moderation-policy.
