Copyright Policy (DMCA)

This Copyright Policy describes the rules and procedures for protecting intellectual property on the “Rivrox” service. The Service respects the rights of authors, performers, producers, and other right holders and takes all reasonable measures to prevent and remove copyright infringements.

1. General

By uploading music, images, lyrics, or other materials (“Content”), the user confirms that they hold all necessary rights to distribute such materials. Uploading copyrighted content without authorization is prohibited and may lead to account suspension.

2. Legal Basis

The Service operates in compliance with the laws of the Russian Federation (Civil Code Part IV, Federal Law No.149 “On Information”) and international treaties such as the Berne Convention, the WIPO Copyright Treaty, the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA, USA), and the EU Directive 2019/790 on copyright in the digital single market.

3. Rights of Authors and Right Holders

Authors and right holders retain exclusive rights to reproduce, distribute, and publicly perform their works. The Service does not claim ownership over user-uploaded content and only uses it within the scope necessary for service operation.

4. User Content Uploading

Users may upload only materials they are legally entitled to distribute. By uploading a track, the user grants the Service a non-exclusive license to store, process, publicly perform, and index the content within the service. If a copyright infringement is detected, the content may be removed without notice.

5. DMCA Notice (Copyright Complaint)

If you believe your copyrighted work has been uploaded without authorization, you can send a DMCA Notice to info@rivrox.com including:

  • Your full name or the name of the right holder;
  • Contact email and phone;
  • URL of the infringing material;
  • Description of the copyrighted work;
  • Proof of ownership (license, registration, or release link);
  • A statement that the use is unauthorized by the owner or its agent;
  • Your physical or electronic signature.
Incomplete notices may be rejected.

6. Counter-Notice

If your content was removed due to a copyright claim but you believe it was done in error, you may submit a counter-notice to the same email address including:

  • Your name and contact information;
  • Link to the removed material;
  • Explanation why you believe removal was a mistake;
  • A statement consenting to share your data with the claimant and to judicial review if needed.
Counter-notices are reviewed within 10 business days, and the content may be reinstated if the claim is invalid.

7. Repeat Infringements

Users who repeatedly infringe copyrights may have their accounts permanently suspended. Information about violations may be stored to prevent re-registration.

8. Disclaimer

The Service is not responsible for user-uploaded content and has no obligation to monitor it preemptively. Upon receiving a valid complaint, the Service acts promptly in good faith following the “notice and takedown” principle.

9. Cooperation with Right Holders

The Music Service cooperates with labels, publishers, and collective management organizations (e.g., RAO, VOIS, GEMA, SACEM) to ensure lawful distribution of musical works and efficient dispute resolution.

10. Policy Updates

This Policy may be updated without prior notice. The latest version is available at /copyright-policy.
