Cookie Policy

The Rivrox website uses cookies and similar technologies to ensure proper operation, personalize content, and analyze traffic. This policy explains cookie types, legal bases, retention, and how you can manage your preferences.

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser or device when you visit a website. They help recognize your browser, remember settings, and keep key features running reliably.

2. Types of Cookies

  • Necessary — enable login, security, player basics and core features. The site cannot function without them.
  • Functional — remember your preferences (language, theme).
  • Analytics — help understand how the site is used (aggregated statistics, performance measurement).
  • Marketing/Advertising — support personalized recommendations and offers relevant to your interests.

3. Legal Basis

Necessary cookies are processed under contract performance and/or the controller’s legitimate interests (security and service operation). Functional, analytics and marketing cookies are used only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

4. Storage and Management

Retention depends on type:

  • "Session" cookies are deleted when you close the browser.
  • "Persistent" cookies may last longer, but not more than 13 months for non-essential cookies.

You can manage cookies via your browser settings and the on-site Cookie Settings Center (changes or withdrawal apply going forward).

5. Technologies Used

Besides cookies, we may use pixel tags (web beacons), browser storage (LocalStorage/IndexedDB), and device identifiers. Browser-fingerprinting is not used without your consent. Processing for analytics/personalization relies on consent.

6. Third-Party Sharing

Cookie-derived information may be shared with hosting/cloud providers, analytics and audience-measurement services, anti-fraud/security, and—where consented—advertising/marketing partners. Sharing is governed by contracts (including DPAs) with confidentiality and security safeguards.

7. Cross-Border Transfers

Where cookie processing involves transfers outside the EEA, we rely on adequacy decisions (GDPR Art. 45) or Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46) with additional safeguards (encryption, access controls). Data of Russian citizens are primarily processed and stored in Russia in line with Law 242-FZ.

8. Managing Consent

You can change or withdraw consent at any time via the cookie banner or the on-site Cookie Settings Center. Refusing non-essential cookies does not affect access to core features but may reduce personalization and analytics accuracy.

9. Effects of Refusal

Disabling functional/analytics/marketing cookies may limit certain sections and recommendations. Essential cookies cannot be disabled because the site would not operate correctly (sessions, security, basic player).

10. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) setting. There is no industry-wide standard yet, but we respect your privacy preferences and recommend using the Cookie Settings Center and your browser’s controls.

11. Contact & Further Info

12. Updates

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The current version is always available at /cookie-policy.
